The Australian Government funds a free-to-air satellite TV service called Viewer Access Satellite Television (VAST).
VAST provides digital television to viewers in remote areas of Cairns & Surrounding areas who are unable to receive digital TV through a normal TV antenna due to isolation, terrain or distance from local TV station transmitters.
